Shin Splint
A shin splint, also known as medial tibial stress syndrome, is an overuse injury that causes pain on the inside of the tibia. It often occurs in runners and athletes who suddenly increase the intensity or duration of their training. The pain occurs because the muscles, tendons and periosteum of the lower leg are overstressed. This can be exacerbated by unsuitable footwear, running on hard surfaces or biomechanical problems during running, such as a misalignment of the foot.
How Calopad helps with shin splint
The Calopad can promote blood circulation by delivering targeted heat to the tense area. The body reacts to the deep heat by dilating the blood vessels, which leads to increased blood flow. More blood also means more oxygen and nutrients, which reach the treated areas and thus promote regeneration. At the same time, waste products produced during inflammation are better broken down. When a muscle is well supplied with blood, it relaxes more easily and is less prone to tension.
However, in order to not only alleviate symptoms but also address the causes, the Calopad Care Abo combines passive heat treatment with active therapies, such as muscle building, to ensure comprehensive treatment.
